Founded in 2007, make.tv opens new horizons in the Web TV sector. make.tv makes it possible for anyone to produce their own live show – without having to invest in conventional broadcasting equipment. The virtual studio is controlled by computer, simple to use and requires no additional software.

Andreas Meyer and Georg Lenzen, founders and managing directors of make.tv, announced the High-Tech Gründerfonds investment. "HTGF enriches our shareholder base and provides us with a new, exciting network", says Andreas Meyer, who founded www.fotocommunity.de in 2001 – today Europe's leading online platform for photography.

Andrin Bachmann (co-founder of Glocalnet AB), Greg Lockwood (former board member of betfair.com) and other international, private investors capitalized the venture shortly after it was founded in November 2007. In addition to High-Tech Gründerfonds, current shareholders also took part in the second round financing.

The browser-based solution for producing live formats will be financed through an annual content producer fee, advertising and a transaction commission. The producers can, for example, integrate fee-based downloads, entrance fees or additional services into their shows.
