Media Objects
Description
Hi, now I’ll show you how to upload and use multimedia objects in a show. The great thing about make.tv is that you can compose your show from many different media, giving the show your very own look and feel.
Now I’ll click on „Media“ at the bottom left to access an overview of all previously uploaded media. You can upload practically any format, like videos, photos and even music. By clicking on the folder symbol at the bottom, you can create new folders to keep your media organized. I’ll create a new folder now. By double clicking on media or a folder, you can rename it. By clicking on an folder once, you can open and close it. Now I’ll press the “Upload” button at the bottom left and select a file from my computer, for example, the photo “test.png”. The selected file will then appear in the media list. You can drag-and-drop media to move it.
Now I can use the photo in a scene. I drag the photo into scene 1.1, scale it down and position it. Let’s take a look at the Layer Tab at the bottom center. Here you can see a list of all the objects in the selected scene. The yellow triangle indicates which object is currently active. Objects that are located under another object can also be selected directly in the Layer Tab. You can drag-and-drop objects to move them from the background to the foreground.
If you want to delete an object from a scene, either press the Delete key, or click the small Trash Can symbol in the Layer Tab.
When you click on the Magnifying Glass in a scene, you can see an enlarged view of that scene. That way you can more easily position your objects. And another tip: use the arrow keys to move an object in pixel increments. Hold the shift key to move an object in larger steps.
Have fun designing your own show! In the next tutorial, I’ll show you how to start and record a live show.
